SANGRE DE CRISTOS — MIDNIGHT/DAWN

COLLECTION: NEON

Across the series, the circuit board has been building toward something. In the original Neon piece it is traces. In the Blanca variants it is a subtle rising pattern. Here, in Midnight/Dawn, it has become architecture — a tower of multicolor lines in orange, forest green, teal, and yellow, rising far above the mountain peaks into the black sky like a transmission antenna built by something that found the valley and decided to stay. The mountains themselves are a single flat lavender, the shadows compressed out entirely, the peaks simplified to silhouette. The cyan river runs straight down the center, its bed laid with circuit traces, carrying signal toward the viewer. This is the piece where the series announces what it's actually been about: the landscape isn't being observed by the technology. It's been collaborating with it.
