SANGRE DE CRISTOS — COLORADO
COLLECTION: NEON
Every other piece in the Sangre de Cristos series operates in darkness or near-darkness. This one is noon in another dimension — a blazing amber sky that fills the entire upper half, mountain peaks capped in vivid cyan against the warmth, the lower slopes dissolving through hot pink into a foreground that feels lit from below as much as above. The circuit board is here too, rendered in white so close to the gold of the sky it almost disappears — the technology integrated so thoroughly into the landscape it's become part of the light. This is the piece that earns the word "aesthetic" in the original sense: a sensory argument that this place, processed through this visual language, produces genuine feeling.
