Gaia Diptych

Two figures. Same cracked earth. Gaia of the Wasteland stands rooted and sovereign, crowned in canopy, lit from behind like something that refuses to be extinguished. Dust to Dust is mid-dissolution, hair carrying the last green thing into the wind under a low orange sun. Companion pieces that share a world: the moss on her shoulders, the dead tree, the parched ground identical between them. Shown together they tell a fuller story about what Earth looks like when it remembers it is alive, and what it looks like when it isn't sure. Whether the diptych reads as hopeful or devastating depends entirely on what you bring to it.
