UNFINISHED BUSINESS (HAND-DRAWN INK)
COLLECTION: HAND-DRAWN
The eye is finished. Concentric rings of ink spiral inward to a dark pupil with the kind of resolution that takes patience and intention. Everything surrounding it is in various states of becoming — lines that establish a jaw, a brow, some kind of head in profile, but areas that are left open, unresolved, the white of the paper showing through where another artist might have kept going. The title tells you this is deliberate. Unfinished Business is not an incomplete drawing. It's a drawing about incompleteness — the moment in any creative act where the most important thing is visible and the surrounding context is still negotiable.
