SUNFLOWERBOTICUS (VAN GOGH — STARRY NIGHT / SUNFLOWERS HYBRID)
COLLECTION: SURREALISM
This is the most technically ambitious piece in the Masters Remixed series — two Van Gogh paintings collapsed into one, with Broboticus installed at the intersection. The sky is unmistakably Starry Night: swirling cobalt and teal, those luminous circular stars, the blazing moon. The field is pure Sunflowers: dense, golden, every bloom rendered in Van Gogh's signature impasto strokes. And there in the middle, Broboticus — headphones on, eyes glowing red, ON AIR panel lit, telephone receiver held to where an ear would be, a record player stacked with vinyl at his side. He is not visiting this landscape. He is broadcasting from it. The case study notes indicate he has been on air for six hours and shows no signs of stopping.
