BROBOTICUS — THE ORIGINAL (MARCH OF THE ROBOTS, 2024)

Everything in the Case Study 42 archive — the ballet, the fishing, the cooking, the karate, the T-Rex, the Vitruvian diagram, the NFT series, the lore — begins here. A neon green robot with a beanie and headphones, hands at the decks, drawn for an Instagram contest called March of the Robots. The line work is clean and direct: rounded head, circular eyes at half-mast suggesting focused concentration or deep groove, a speaker-grille chest, two turntable platters below. There is no background. No environment. Just the character, fully formed in his first appearance, already doing exactly what he was always going to do. The contest gave him a reason to exist. The drawing gave him everything else.
